DO NOT LIST YOUR VISIT TO THE CLINICAL PRACTICE AS A TEST AND TRACE CLOSE CONTACT.

As a professional healthcare clinic, we are considered to be outside the “possible carrier of infection” category, with regards to test and trace processes.

In line with guidance, your visit to clinic, should not be listed or managed as a test and trace close contact. Instead, the clinic attendance, should be listed under the “healthcare” category.

This is because healthcare workers, in a healthcare setting, private healthcare clinics (clinical practice), undergo robust risk assessment procedures and mitigation processes.

As healthcare professionals we use medical grade personal protective equipment (PPE), and meet all guidance for the setting, to prevent infection spread.

The structured protocols in place for the clinical practice include, patient triage and screening, suitable social distancing, mask wearing by patients during consultation, medical grade personal protective equipment (PPE), stringent infection control, cleaning protocol between patients.

This means that our clinical staff do not count as possible infectious contact, which is why we do not need to be listed as a test and trace close contact.
